In the forest mist
A little before sunset I went with my dog to the forest. A thick fog suddenly settled over the land, creating a captivating and dramatic landscape. I hadn't brought my camera, I only had my cell phone but I wanted to save something from that moment anyway.
The weather got very cold and it lifted my spirit. Over the years I have learned not to escape the cold, to embrace it with everything it has to teach. I felt it on my face, in my lungs, I felt the humidity, the silence. The echo of my own footsteps on the leaves was music to my ears. Getting out of the comfort zone was so perfect that I didn't want to go back, even though the day was getting dark.
An immense wisdom hides between the trunks that I want to touch with the tips of my fingers. I pray that the whole of humanity can one day see, respect and admire it; so that we realize that the wonder that surrounds us is immensely more valuable than any worldly luxury that doesn't even bring us true happiness.
Today, if you have a tree nearby, thank it for its existence.
Have a beautiful day.
